Other Information : Open Systems Engineers will be involved in designing, installing, configuring, managing, and supporting technical components within the operating system environment.
Technology components include the core operating system Linux (RHEL v5.x and v6) and operating system tools such as TSM (backup/recovery), CA (event management), Blade logic (system provisioning).
o Based on defined technical requirements and architecture blueprints work with a cross-functional team to develop the open systems detailed design and associated open systems specifications as part of an overall solution design
o Deploy and configure the open systems components per the detailed design
o Document test cases, perform operational readiness testing to ensure the open systems environment performs as required and document actual results
- General system administration
